This second volume in the Golden Years series is packed with a rich mixture of evocative photographs selected from the archives of the Douglas, Isle of Man-based Keig photographic company, taken from 1947 to 1962, a fabulous period of growth for the world’s greatest road races.

Many of the pictures were taken during practice sessions with riders emerging from the paddock; fascinating, evocative shots of both works riders and private owners. Superb stylist and Junior TT winner Freddie Frith is shown on his 350cc works Velocette and Artie Bell on his factory plunger-framed Norton. Later, a proud-looking 20-year-old Geoff Duke is pictured with the then revolutionary Featherbed-framed Manx Norton and veteran Lightweight TT winner Fergus Anderson is shown waiting with his 250cc Moto Guzzi.
