A new blue plaque to commemorate engineer and inventor Richard ‘Rex’ McCandless, creator of the Featherbed motorcycle frame and developer of Gyroplanes, was unveiled recently by GP winner Jeremy McWilliams, at Rex’s family business, W.A.C. McCandless (Engineering) Limited in Belfast.
