Justin Newell blasts off the line on his way to a new personal best
John Young was back out on the 500cc Triumph-JAP after the rained-off trip to Bonneville this summer. The most improved rider was Justin Newell on his Hagon-JAP.
Alf Hagon supplied many kit-form sprinters, but there are few survivors. Justin found his incomplete example at a jumble and completely restored it and fitted a 750cc Triumph engine. Unable to find a suitable supercharger, Justin made his own. He has subsequently posted his sub nine-second run.
