It is, it would seem, a rare, genuine RA (for Research Association) model, though it has lost several distinguishing features, including its ‘disc’ brakes. Brought in from South Africa, it comes as part of a collection, which includes a 1935 Excelsior Manxman. Other machines in the sale include a host of projects, including a Gold Star and a 1955 Tiger 100, among others. Details from 0208 963 2817 or www.bonhams.com
