It's a Norton Commando, isn't it? Er, no, because owner Dave Green has gone out of his way to make the air-coooled rotary-engined Norton 'look' like a Commando. Classic Bike Guide's editor Nigel Clark tests the air- and water-cooled versions...
The rotary Norton star shone so very brightly, but so very briefly. It was, like many machines from the British industry, an exceptional device marketed far too late. Nevertheless, they made their mark and still have their fans, Nigel C meets one such enthusiast who can proudly say 'I did it my way'.
