Assen Centennial revisited - Following Freddie Spencer

It's always great to share track time with Grand Prix legends like Freddie Spencer, but it's even more fun when it's wet and slippery, just as it was at Assen last September.

The tricky conditions favour bikes like my old Seeley G50, which is much easier to ride in the wet than GP two-strokes, as you can see as we follow Freddie out of the Assen paddock and on to the streaming track.

Sadly, just as it was getting interesting the battery died on my recorder. Probably just as well I guess, by the end of that lap Freddie was disappearing into the distance! Legends live on.
