Off to a great start

A very impressive turnout (with more people filling the showground on the Sunday than on the Saturday, according to exhibition manager Nick Mowbray) was an encouraging sign as this year’s Winter Classic at Newark Showground got underway on the weekend of January 9-10.

The weather was decidedly chilly, the sky remained clear of sinister-looking clouds and the atmosphere at the showground was pleasant and eminently friendly.

A cursory meander through the showground revealed yet more promising signs, as showgoers hovered around stalls and chatted about some of the wonderful bikes on display.
