Clubs and owners are being sought for the bigger-than-ever Carole Nash Great Scottish Bike Show, which takes place on August 9-10...
The organisers are looking for entrants in the main show, and are welcoming clubs to enter as part of a club stand or single individuals. With the show not being an out-and-out classic event, more modern machines are also welcome – but let’s not let ’em take over!
The event has Giacomo Agostini and Alex George as guests of honour, and it takes place at the Royal Highland Centre, Ingliston, Edinburgh EH28 8NB.
The weekend’s entertainment includes the legendary Purple Helmets, Scottish Supermoto riders and live bands during the day. There is free stand space for clubs and free entry for bikes entered by private owners in the show. Each exhibitor gets two free weekend tickets and onsite camping. There are awards for the top machines, including cash prizes and magazine subscriptions as well as highly commended rosettes for the best of the rest that do not win an award. There are also big cash prizes for the best club stands, with first place taking £750, second £500 and third £250!
