RA Douglas set for Harrogate

By James Robinson, 5 November 2013

Bonhams’ Harrogate sale, on November 13, has an interesting cache of machines, with one of the star lots the Douglas pictured in the accompanying photograph...

It is, it would seem, a rare, genuine RA (for Research Association) model, though it has lost several distinguishing features, including its ‘disc’ brakes. Brought in from South Africa, it comes as part of a collection, which includes a 1935 Excelsior Manxman. Other machines in the sale include a host of projects, including a Gold Star and a 1955 Tiger 100, among others. Details from 0208 963 2817 or www.bonhams.com
