British car maker Lotus is getting ready to release its first ever motorcycle, named the C-01. Details are scarce at the moment, but Lotus is making the bike in collaboration with German car racing team Kodewa, the Holzer Group and designer Daniel Simon...
The C-01 will utilise Formula One car technology and construction methods, and be made from materials such as aerospace quality steel, carbon and titanium.
On the design front, Daniel Simon is responsible for the Tron lightcycle and has also worked for Lamborghini and Bugatti, as well as designing the black and gold colour scheme of Lotus’ LMP2 cars. Racing team Kodewa has plenty of experience, having competed in F1 and endurance racing. The bike’s components will be made by the Holzer Group’s state of the art CNC machines.
Lotus will release proper images of the C-01 shortly.
We won’t be holding our breath.
