Classic motorcycle rally at Staffordshire landmark

Plenty to see and do at pumping station

A diary date reminder for the forthcoming classic motorcycle rally at the Mill Meece Pumping Station in Staffordshire on July 14, NOT July 8 as recently advertised...

The old pumping station together with the steam driven plant, which last pumped water into the supply on December 22nd 1979, is now leased to the Mill Meece Pumping Station Preservation Trust, who officially took over the station under the auspices of the Severn Trent Water Authority on May 31st 1981.

The motorcycle rally promises to be a great day out, with plenty to see and do, so do pop along and take a step back in time.

More information from Mill Meece Pumping Station or email

Directions: The Pumping Station is sited alongside the Stafford to Crewe railway line in the Meece Brook Valley, postcode ST21 6QU.

Admission: Adults £4.50, Children and senior citizens £3.50. Parties welcome.

Note: Steam Engines will not be in steam. See website for further details, plus see the online tour.
