Around 600 riders converged on East Kirkby Aviation Museum on May 3, 2014, to participate in The Wolds Run, which is an annual motorcycle charity event with proceeds going to the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance service...
With so many riders taking part, participants were dispatched in small groups for a 45 mile run through the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds, stopping at Scamblesby (the half-way point) for a short break and refreshments. Riders then headed back through the countryside, returning to the Aviation Museum where further entertainment was on offer.
After lunch, spectators were treated to a fantastic display of model aircraft of all shapes and sizes, from prop to jet engines. Then mid-afternoon, the museum’s Avro Lancaster fired its engines up for a taxi run around the airfield.
The organisers would like to thank everyone who attended and made it a day to remember.
